Castle Garden

The Baroque garden with a fountain is part of the castle complex. It was founded in the 2nd half of the 17th century and the most beautiful is in the spring. Inner city

Since 1963 the medieval city center has been an urban monument reserve. It has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992. Name The town of Krumlov comes from the German Krumme Aue (croakedmeadow). In the inner city is worth visiting, for example, a fountain with a plague column, Gothic Valašský Dvur, Široká Street, Krčín House with Renaissance façade from 16. century, or The town hall on the Svornosti Square, which was built in 2nd half of the 16th Century in the Renaissance style.

Monasteries of Český Krumlov

In 1350 the monastery was founded by Kateřina von Rosenberg with her sons. The construction lasted a long time and the monastery was originally Minorite. The first monks came to the monastery in 1357. In May 2014, the revitalization of the whole complex was initiated and again opened in 2015. St. Vitus Church

The first church on this site was already in the year 1309.
